Damn, I haven't listened to the other one yet - you're taking your meeja job too seriously!
However, I shall download and listen to 'em back to back once the Perfect Pizzaman arrives with my grub.
Happy New Year and sorry to hear that your flu has put you out of a full on celebratory mood.

Happy new year an' all that bullshit RoMo!

Yet another great RocastMo.

After that Steely Dan album cover post, I was not surprised of the inclusion of a track from it!

Kate Bush.....Ahhhhhhhhhh...the fantasies I've had? (shut up that's private) there I go again... I'm the British No.1 fan! my opinion the most original female artist Britain has EVER seen!

I always remember the story about her latest album, she invited her executive bosses round to hear the latest progress...but all they got was a slice of cake she had previously prepared and after that she f**ked them off! brilliant.

So that's where Mr Swipe has been lurking? great cover version Bob...

Ister - hurry up! I can't help it - I really like podcasting. I still managed to stay up until 02:30 on a heady cocktail of kir royale, red wine and benylin4flu - oh, and water of course.

The Whales - yay - glad you liked it. Happy New Year to you too

Jifdump - happy New Year to you too. Yes the Mighty Bush is just my absolute favourite too - I did a post about her last year - you can find it here if you want. Oh - I've only just seen you've been there already. Well done, carry on! x

PS: No - I don't remember him being in it - I'll have to visit

Good one rm. Nice to hear the Steely Dan doing it again. How many people know that Steely Dan was named after a dildo in Naked Lunch by William Burroughs? Not many I bet or that Honey Bane is the lovechild of Jerry Hall and Barry Manilow? Robert’s song was a nice surprise too. Good work rockmum.

Nice pair of pods, RoMo. It was delightful to hear Bob / Berta still tinkling with the new-fangled recording machinery that he has recently acquired.

Get back over to Swip Towers *this instant!!!*

Christ, Bob said you were a miserable bunch of bastards, for once, even *he* was understating it....

Great cast btw Mo of Roness....especially the bit at the end. I had a lump in my throat.....least, I *think* it was my throat....

Oh well, the Grauniad beckons.....ciao for now...

Realdoc - oh no - I'm not but I'd love to be. Am having to read something for work in bed - big mistake as I keep half falling asleep! I've got all the OGWT on dvd - I'm such a saddo! I'm only allowed to watch them when everyone is out.

Realdoc, have you heard "Argus" Classic Album....oh yeah.

RoMo, if you have the compilation of the OGWT years on DVD.....last nights program will and should be totally different....oh yeah.

I've recorded it too, I'll get it down onto DVD soon.
I was lucky enough to see Andy Powell and Ted Turner perform a few W.A. songs years ago when they were part of the bill on "Night of the Guitars". They did "The King Will Come" a veritable classic that has aged well over the years.

Jif likes "Blowing Free", especially after a chicken madras.

PS - Re: Fuzzy Brown on your pod, that song of his reminds me of San Fransiscan uber-geeks Primus. It's nice to know we know have an English version on the books.

Jif - I like this Oh yeah business - I might have to make a jingle out of it for my podcasts. Can you send me an mp3 of you saying oh yeah?

Istvanski - Primus? I don't know much about them - you've played them before haven't you on one of your first podcasts? It's been a bit windy down this way too but we didn't have curry - I put rather too many kidney beans into a chicken stew - better an empty house than a bad tenant as my grandma used to say! Still makes me laugh alot now to say it.

They were playing Jailbait. I've never heard them before having assumed they were proggy (is that a word) but this was 12 bar blues brilliant.

Blogger rockmother said...

Damn - wish (no pun intended) I'd seen it now.

8:53 pm
Blogger JDA said...
