Breaking News: Heath Ledger Dead

It's ok - this isn't a picture of Heath Ledger dead - it is him as The Joker. Looks like the last laugh was on him. He was found surrounded by pills. Dead. He was only 28. They think it is drug-related as opposed to suicide although he had a history of playing 'suicidal characters' so perhaps the method went a bit too far. I don't know much about The Ledge but I think he had quite a le(d)gendary lifestyle by all accounts. Candle burnt a bit bright I guess....looks like he crammed a lot into those short years. Some people do.

Drugs kill kids. Don't do'em. Even Amy Crackhouse has checked into rehab as of today. Perhaps The Sun film was all a bit too much after all.

Ian Dury put it so well: what a waste.

It's probably too early to say what he died of, but I do think someone dying at the age of 28 (my age) is dying far too early in my opinion.

Does that mean the Batman film will be his last? Better than finishing up with Streetfighter or Transformers.

Also Annie told me it was your birthday. Many happy returns.

(sorry for long rambling comment and complete change of tone)

Now look 'ere Billster. Transformers may not have been a high brow type of film that made you think, but it's bloomin' good entertainment round these neck of the woods ;-)

As for Ledger, Winehouse and the rest of them = stoopid, stoopid, stoopid.

Happy birthday RoMo, hope you make a great day of it x

Blimey you're quick off the mark - I only found out this morning on the news. As for Amy Wino, there's apparently footage of her doing E and cocaine even though she is challenging a fine for cannabis use. That girl is truly screwed up and has no intention of changing. Sad to say, but the sooner the inevitable happens the sooner those around her will be free of Amy-related stress.

Very sad. Tsk, silly boy.

I hate it when this happens - I remember when the news came through about Kurt Cobain and feeling such shock, and suddenly understanding what it must have felt like in the 60s when all those young rock stars like Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin (who had always been just famous dead icons to me) suddenly died. Much too early to go.

Anyway, not very festive. Is this a bad moment to sing 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DEAR ROMO'? xxxx

A bit of a bummer no doubt- god, how crass.
No, really quite a shock; imagine having all your life ahead of you with the brake he got, when the rest of us have to brake our back.
Hang on, maybe I should rephrase all that, it's a bit close to the bone--- God, I think Freud is to blame- word association .....no escape, is there.

To quote a friend of mine: "Poor old Heath. He'll always be remembered as That Gay Cowboy Bloke."

And, if birthday greetings are appropriate, then birthday greetings it shall be. Happy birthday, RM. For she's a jolly good fellow... etc., etc.

Billy - yep - 28 is sadly very young. Thank you - it's my birthday tomorrow! I shall save the happy returns

Istvanski - Transformers are the best! I love those toys. The schematic designs for them are amazing. Tomorrow, tomorrow bidet day x

Llewtrah - we don't hang about at Romo Towers you know...Amy is a kid with issues and needs help - whether she chooses to accept it or not is another matter. Sad.

Annie - yes - and Michael Hutchence. Singing tomorrow...my birthday and officially mathematically proven to be THE most depressing day of the year. Fact!

Seanster - I like your puns. Puns are good. He was a good actor - it's a shame.

Jimster Trooserster - a touch of River Phoenix syndrome methinks....ooh ooh - birthday tomorrow. Thank you x

Yes, My favourite, I thought it was brilliant- he played Young - Sir - William Thacher. "A Knights Tale" I cracked up when we will rock you thundered out from the crowd, alond with Queen, and the dance with "Under Pressure."
I made another - somewhere - and said I was a little shocked by the news-- someone with all before him. Really!

I'm sure the tabloids will soon furnish us with all the details of Heath Ledger's death, once a period of mourning has passed (... give it a day at the most?).

The Sun's so-called "concern" for Amy Winehouse is pretty nauseating, as was the page they set up the other day so that readers could send messages of sympathy to Lily Allen who has just miscarried. Bloody hell, in bad taste or what!

He was the better looking of the two cowboys though not as good looking as Jake's sister.

You can't dice with death, the dice are loaded.

Howdy again RM. As you're posting on the Heath Death thing, thought I'd pass on the insane news that the Westboro Baptist Church (those fuckwits that picket US soldiers funerals) are now planning to picket Heath's.

It seems that because he acted gay in a film, he has managed to incur the wrath of god and the WBC.

Tossers.

I suspect divorced parents and his own marital problems are key factors here. Very sad.

Seansterness - yes - I liked that bit too. He was a good actor - different.

Bettster - yes the paps are scum - I hope they all get their come-uppance one day. The Sun film was pretty rank in all senses of the word - talk about lowest common denominator to make your point.

Geoffster - yep - misadventure is a terrible thing - sad and lonely.

Bad Sarah - cheers for popping by - yes - I like that picture of him being saucy in the cowboy hat

Arabellakins - yes - it is very sad and tragic - sooo young and battling many demons I hear. I think those shots of his body in a bag being whelled out to hoards of baying photographers was an affront to human dignity and his family I really do. I too am hoping for candles and cake...we'll see

Jimmy Pages Trooserster - Westboro Fucking Wankers if you ask me - who the hell do they think they are? Idiots.

Dickley - I dunno - I went through two sets of divorced parents, parents with illness, drug use and depression and currently have big probs with my own familial situation but I'm not a drug user, alcoholic, self-medicating addict out of control person....may be I am lucky. Anyway - looking forward immensely to my impending birthday (not!) as of tomorrow.

Slaminskyster - oh you silly thing - you weren't to know - I got yours wrong by two days I seem to recall! Apologies are in Room 101 madam - third door down on the left x

Paddy - thank you for dropping by - yes - lots of photos here. I sort of approach blogging like a school project. I like to illustrate my point.
