Waving Not Drowning
I am here I promise and have got a horde of posts I intend to write up soon - just been idling and thinking and daydreaming and reading real books and going to the cinema and doing more thinking and commenting far too much on other people's blogs instead of attending to my own - and working...
The above is a picture of Blaze Starr as snapped by one of my favourite photographers Diane Arbus. Dick's atmospheric post on motels (another of my favourite subjects) inspired me to dig this out.
Ta ta for now.

I adore that carpet...
Violet Violet - I have been so worried about you - you must be psychic. Yes - carpet, pose, metallic pedal pushers - who could ask for more? What style Blaze had. She is still alive but has retired from stripping now and sells jewellery at craft fairs in Wisconsin now. xx
Oh no - I said now twice in the same sentence. Awfully sorry.
Yay for Violet.
Starr trained a panther to remove her clothes onstage... Perhaps her most famous prop was a couch that she rigged to smolder and then appear to burst into flame as she sat on it and undressed...
What a woman!! A role model for us all.
Oh yes, an attractive lady she may well be, adept at the art of striptease, but hang on...
...has nobody else noticed...
...she appears to have crapped a puppy?
Aw bless ya romo. I forgive you for the nows in that case. I am actually genuinely doing ok for once, will get around to writing an(-other) 'I'm Not Dead' post at some point by way of explanation for my sabbatical.
All that and she can crap puppies. I am literally weeping with jealousy.
Annie - yes - three cheers for Violet. Blaze Starr - what an absolute trooper.
Howeser - better than ping pong balls Howeser - such a cliche - and at least the dog didn't seem harmed in the process. Blaze Starr: no animals were hurt in this feat of expulsion!
Violet - glad to hear all well in Violetland x
I always wondered why they called that breed of dog a poo-dle.
Howesy - hahahahaha!! Very good.
Yes the carpet is magnificent. The Oriental motif goes beautifully with the Buddha.
....... yes I can dig it.
It's nice to just space out for a while away from it all- dreaming it all away;-)
Ister - ha ha - of course!
Annie - Ditto
Dickley - it's great isn't it?
Sean - bloody hell - where have you been? I was about to contact Interpol! Glad you are ok re: your fuse-blowing situation. No one hurt I take it? Was getting worried.
Thanks Mum, where would I be without you. All is fine- that little fuse blowing (to replace the computer) cost just under a grand, but everything is fine - it'll probably rain tomorrow - now.
;-) ;-)
