For Dick Headley

Now we know what Amy keeps in her beehive - and I don't think it is a hankie!

Is that a bullet in your beehive or couldn't you wait to get backstage for another toot?! Oh dear. I hope she gets through all this I really do.

My sense of sisterhood is shaken by Amy. It must be such a hard, hard life being young, extravagantly talented, rich, acclaimed and successful.

What is that song they are playing by the way? I was hunting for it on Soulseek the other day, but couldn't remember the name.

Annie, the song is Monkey Man which was originally performed by Toots And The Maytals.

Appropriate really. Now Amy can have a toot during the instrumental break.

Ah, merci Betty. I wanted the original - heaven forbid I'd go looking for a Winehouse cover.

Annie - The Specials did a great cover of Monkey Man too. I've never been keen on Amy's version though. The original is fab - Toots and the Maytals did a great album called Funky Kingston - try and get hold of it - it's one of my all time favourites. I only have it on vinyl though.. And yes - it must be sooo hard dealing with all of that talent at such a young age. I think the media have forgotten how young Amy W actually is. They are as much to blame aside from her unfortunate demise into hard drugs. She probably shouldn't be touring at all and it's all about money. Surely a life is worth more than that even if the subject doesn't think they are worth it? I get the impression she doesn't think she is good at anything in any way at all - meld that with constant front page papparazzi pressure by journalists whose children are probably doing exactly the same and you get a no win situation. The only casualty will be her if something doesn't give.

Bettster - I think it's toot toot toot all the way with her at mo..

Pete Doherty and Amy Winehouse should get married and appear on "Mr & Mrs" with Derek Batey. That would make great TV.

Yeah, make them listen to their own songs in the booth.

it's a grim spectacle, her one-way journey to self-destruct ... but somehow i can't look away.
(bit blatant, that on-stage snort though, even for her)

I think you nailed it there rockmum. Amy, and most of her fans, know it's 90% BS.

Well blow me, it's a hazy day--- how-come the link on your comments don't come here-- well it does, but ther are seven to to pick from which is too much for my little brain --- anyway I'm here now thank you kindy.
Amy and the beehive, yes indeed, how did you cop that?
I love her dont give a hoot attitude, but I'm not into the sensationalism, like you, I hope she gets it under control, and it doesn't bring her down or top her off. I think the suicide wish is clearly there.
She needs the wonder drug treatment Selegiline(Desmethylselegiline) .
Works for me. You'll hear a lot about it I'd say in the future if you haven't heard already. Used for Parkinson's, depression, coke addiction, adhd, bring back the sparkle to your sex life, and more. Selegiline is partly metabolized to methamphetamine, due to this metabolite selegiline can cause false positives for amphetamine/methamphetamine on drug tests. It's not a class A drug and can be prescribed by your local GP (at the local shop for local peopoe, ha, private joke for the league of gentlemen- sorry)
except in Japan where it is considered class A.
What the ...k am I going on about. Sorry I forgot I was making a comment on your blog. That thing happens to me when I see some one do a line of Charlie, or even talks about it- I go into a state of desire, and all I can talk about id drugs, drugs, and more drugs.
Bye bye Rockmother I must toot, I mean shoot, ehhhh, yes, see you later. Lovely to chat with you.

Paddy - aaahh...there you are. I hope you are enjoying your hazy day experience. An anonymous commented on Selegeline here 7-10 days ago - was it you? Blimey - sounds a bit strong to me. Let's hope Amy gets through it. I don't feel the same way about Bloated Docherty - perhaps because he isn't as talented and any normal Joe would have lost everything and been banged up by now - he hasn't which for some reason really pisses me off. I hate all forms of injustice. Agh - it's too early for a rant. I'm going back to my strong coffee and Otrivine Nasal Spray chaser - the high is better than diamorphine you know! Or maybe it was just because my ears were blocked and I felt a bit dizzy..

Not that "strong" at all, actuall repairs brain cells .......: Neuroprotective actions of selegiline: treatment with selegiline can protect neurons against a variety of neurotoxins, and at the same time: Selegiline produces an amphetamine-like effect. A high that's actually good for you- if you ignore the side-effets warning on the pack, but sure they have to cover themselves.
That Otrinine nasal sounds good. I love anything you put up the nose, especially if it's bitter and hits the toncil or where they used to be.
Yes, I'd rather have a night out with Amy than Pete- I'd end up no doubt givin' him a clatter.
Must fly Rockmum, see you later Darlin'
