I will indeed.
Thanks rockmum.
Sounds like your GP mate is heavily influenced by Dury & The Blockheads. Impressive stuff all round, a good eclectic mix.
If Ian Curtis was alive today he'd be selling his own brand of oven gloves.
Momo Madster - good good
Isterness - GP mate has his own channel 'nearlyworks'on youtube here:

I think it will be up your strata as they say.
Watch him perform Roxanne on a theramin with a star wars mask on and you will understand why it is actually quite frightening that he is a GP - and also hilariously funny. He also fronts a great band - Alan and the Black Slacks. I love him and he is one of my best friends as well as being married to my best friend too. How lovely is that?
Thank you for podcast comps - the next one will be better.
Re: oven gloves - funny x
Fookin' axminster!!!
Mr Axminster - sorry - it's my weirdly wired brain - now where is that cd - hurry up!
RM - spun it up this morning, another belter. It's the best bit of music broadcasting since Annie Nightingale's Sunday evening shows.
Great choice of tunes and it's a lifetime since I've heard John Foxx doing 'Underpants' - as we used to call it. Loving The Fall's new tracks too.
my daughters going to teach me how to do the podcasts listeny to-ey loady thing, and, and, i'm gonna do it, and i'm gonna hear these finally and BE ONE OF THE COOL PEOPLE JUST LIKE YOU GUYS!
guys?
hey guys? hey?
Shout indeed...and when you've finished with Captain Peacock Old Mr. Grace would like to see you in his office.
Mr Mondo Bongo - goodness Mr Rigsby I'm blushing! God I wish I could be on the radio - I would love to do that once a week. If I had the time I would - maybe I should try. Apparently Mr Underpants Foxx has a new album out. Do you think most of the nation used to shout that when they heard the song? I think I know the answer to that!
Your HRH Firstness - you invented cool Mama - we are all just following you! Anyway - when are you running for Mayor? XX
Darling Dickley - Yes - Shout indeed! How much do we love MR Mark E Smith? I think you may like his book Renegade. So do you still think he sings with a poo in his mouth? I do hope not. Old Mr Grace - not agaiiin. Last time he scared Mrs Slocombe's pussy and we all had to give her mouth-to-mouth.
I can't copy and paste that YouTube link because of the copy protection you've instigated on your blog.
I really want to view the clip but I'm too lazy to type in all the individual characters of the link. Please help (*flutters eyelashes*) x
It's ok I've found it.
He's wasted as a GP.
Isterness - I know - he really is. He should have his own tv show!
I don't really have an opinion about Mr. Smith and his work but I'll look out for his book. He does seem to have an earthy kind of regional integrity. Trivia alert...I have a friend in Stockport who is a big fan.
Dickley - 50000 Fall fans can't be wrong you know. Stockport - that's funny - one of the reasons I like Mark E Smith so much is because his speaking voice sounds just like my favourite Granny - she was very no-nonsense straight up Northern and her best friend Lillian was from Stockport. Makes me sad as I miss her a lot. She was a compulsive smoker and called everyone 'pet'.
Something tells me Mark E Smith might well have the last Laugh!
A Great Bloke.
Brilliant Podcast Mum.
Loved the Esther Phillips track. Wish I had a cool record collection instead of a random mish mash of stuff.
Tony on the Bench - yes - and thank you - you are too kind
Bettster - glad you liked Esther Phillips - poor Esther Phillips. I am always in awe of you mixtape thingies and your knowledge of music - you are very cool!
