Podcast Roadshow Tourbus Appeal

I have currently noticed that this quality vehicle is for sale on ebay.

LH drive with original DDR bumper sticker: I bet that's seen some Checkpoint Charlie action
Engine: VW - 1.1 wow!
In Car Audio: None - it's ok Listen With Rockmother will be broadcasting forth live
Comfort: None - we don't care
Safety Features: None - all the more rock'n'roll when you are taking a bend at 85mph kids
Body: Bits of soggy paper stuck together and dried out until goes hard - classy

Look at that perfect ill-fitting nylon stripe - I simply must have it. Look at the really basic switches and orange brown plastic door covers. Pure beauty.

Think about it - it is the perfect podcast summer roadshow vehicle - at a really awful seaside town near you. It is a thing of beauty and I am sorely tempted. Perhaps we will be the first ever entrant for Staples To Naples that can drive and podcast at the same time.

The only time a Trabant will reach a speed of 85mph will be if it is towed on the back of an XR2 Fiesta. Downhill. With the wind behind it.

Achtung rockmum, YOU-TOO can have a prop.
If I click the lotto tonight I buy it for you. Slim chance, but the best offer you've had so far.

I bet that it smells of unwashed feet inside as well.

What you need to do is take that beauty out on for Summer Podcast Roadshow, in the spirit of 1970's Radio One. Why not take Smiley Miley along for the ride? Okay, it'll take you about three days to get from Blackpool to Southport, but it'll be so worth it! You can give away Listen With Rockmother mugs and t-shirts as prizes to anyone who can guess the correct mileage and all that.

That's a beauty all right. Putting the steering wheel in the middle was a brilliant stroke. Everybody gets a turn to drive.

Of course the risk with a summer tour in a trabi is that it will bucket it down and the bodywork will start to disintegrate.

Just listened the latest Rockmother podcast - It was marvellous thank you for podding again.

Reggie Darling - Schnell! Schnell! Well, I'm £48 up on the Grand Nation al - it's a start.

Bettster - yes - that is exactly what I wanted to do with it - you can be the prize hander outer person - I'll make you a special sash.

Dickley - yes - jsut in case the driver nods off or is too drunk to drive you can just slightly lean over and carry on - genius.

Jane - yes - I hadn't thought of that - perhaps we could pre-treat it with that stuff you spray shoes with to stop them getting scuffed or wet? Thank you re: podcast - very kind.

Jesus, revelation. I've just realised dh is a sensation type with a quick dry wit.

Momers Madster - Dickley is a god of wit and kindness in my opinion.
